Holy Guacamole!

We hosted a guacamole workshop, and it was delicious!

Here at flatev, it’s no secret that we love fresh food. This love of food has been ingrained in us since our childhoods. That’s why we had our very own Pamela Vazquez host a guacamole workshop with members of the flatev community in Zurich.

For those of you who don’t already know, Pamela is our Chief Food Technology Officer (CFTO). Basically, she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to food. She brought her mother’s tried and true guacamole recipe from Mexico and presented about the different varieties of guacamole. Who knew there was more than one?

Afterwards, she separated everyone into groups to make their own style of guacamole, which would later be judged by the flatev team for prizes.

The groups brainstorm some yummy recipes.

Getting to work!

Although it was a hard choice, we eventually awarded the best guacamole recipes based on presentation, taste, and creativity:

1st Place – “The Rockamole”

2nd Place – “Guapamole”

But really, isn’t everyone a winner now that they know how to make fresh guacamole?

We think so.

Mass Challenge UK

London calling!

We were invited by Mass Challenge UK to pitch and present flatev to aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups. Giving back is an important part of our team’s culture, and we were very humbled by the experience.

Furthermore, we were able to gain some insight about our machine and UK’s tortilla market — even in the UK, the market is growing very rapidly. We also found that chili and cinnamon were the favorite flavors of our tortillas. Sugar, spice, and everything nice!

Carlos introduces the machine and fresh tortillas to curious Mass Challenge attendees.
