Say Hey to Doug Wagner!

While in the midst of our American excursion we decided that we needed to add a little more American flair to the flatev team. After all, it’s become clear that Americans are legitimately tortilla-crazy! We searched high and low, near and far – then lo and behold, we stumbled across a fine young fellow named Doug Wagner.

We told him about our mission: to bring fresh tortillas and flatbreads to every home, food truck, and restaurant that would have them. He told us about himself, exemplified his colloquial vernacular, and opined on the lack of fresh tortillas in this great nation of his. It was quickly evident that our meeting was not simple coincidence.

So who is this man of mystery?

Born in the Appalachian wilderness, Doug was raised by coyotes until the age of fourteen… Just kidding.

Doug was born in New York City, and raised just across the river in the tiny town of Glen Ridge, New Jersey. He learned to read at the tender age of three so that he could figure out where he needed to head next in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Fast-forward fifteen years, Doug packed his bags, bid farewell to the US of A, and spent four years in the Great White North. He studied History and Economics at McGill University, and was bitterly frostbitten the entire time.

Following a brief foray into Finance, Doug realized that he needed to break into the startup world in order to stave off monotony. After gaining valuable experience at various stops in the NYC startup world, he attended the 2014 Spring session of Startup Institute NY.

We saw him speak at Startup Institute’s TalentExpo, a graduation of sorts, and the rest is history. Most importantly, he loves all things flatbread and harbors a deep hatred of staleness and preservatives.

Welcome to Doug Wagner, the new voice of flatev!
