The Mexican Consulate: A Visual Adventure

On May 14th the wonderful people at the Mexican Consulate of New York City cordially threw us a great cocktail hour, and man did everyone have fun. We want to thank everyone who came out, including the Ambassador Sandra Fuentes-Berain, Consul General of Mexico in NYC. Here she is checking out our magical machine!

First things first, we set up our table complete with tacos al pastor, tacos de nopal (cactus!), and all of our normal accoutrements.

Then the margaritas started flowing, and the crowd started gravitating towards the irresistible aromas emanating from our side of the room. However, it wasn’t time for food just yet – first Carlos presented the concept of flatev and got some time in the limelight.

Finally, after much anticipation, it was time to eat. The crowd tried to form an orderly line, but they were a bit too excited.

Everyone really enjoyed the food, as you can tell from the smile on this happy customer!

Most importantly, some beautiful tacos were made. Just look at these bad boys!

By the time we were finished, we had basically run out of all of the food we had brought – people just couldn’t get enough! The entire flatev team had a truly great time – can’t you tell how much fun we had?

      Hi Alan,

Each pod makes one fresh, ready-to-eat tortilla in under a minute. Thanks for the question!
