10 years ago when Carlos Ruiz (inventor, CEO and founder of Flatev®) really wanted to make a tortilla while in Switzerland. He called his Mexican mom and she explained the ratio to water and masa (corn flour). After attempting for several hours he realized how hard this was. So, he figured there had to be a better way. Through research, the Flatev team realized the heart and soul of a tortilla for a Mexican is the same as the Naan is to an Indian or a Flatbread is to an Italian. Flatbreads are around the world in all culturals. So Flatev was born on the principals of creating one-“flat-world” connected through cultural canvases known as Flatev. It directly translates to Flatbread Evolution.
